Marian Mission in Christ Cathedral-2025

On February 2025, Our Blessed Mother visited Christ Cathedral for another Marian Mission. The weeklong Mission was for all the communities: English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

The Marian Mission at Christ Cathedral was a week-long program in which the parishioners not only received the Pilgrim Statue, but accompanied Our Blessed Mother in a variety of devotions.

From daily talks to five hours of Confession every day, the families were able to benefit from an abundance of graces so to seek with more fervor and grow intimately united with Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Blessed Mother with her children

A unique means of apostolate by the Heralds of the Gospel is the visit to the homes with the Pilgrim Statue. In the beginning of the Marian Mission, the parishioners had the opportunity to sign up for the visit.

Throughout the whole week, Monday to Sunday, Our Blessed Mother visited her children to spend some time of prayer as well as to encourage them.

These visits were short, for the Pilgrim Statue visited as many families as possible, close to 200 homes.

Sacraments and Devotions

English Morning Mass at St. Callistus Chapel, during the Marian Mission.

Alongside the visit to the homes, the priests of the Heralds of the Gospel celebrated daily Mass, after which there would be a talk.

The talks were done in three languages, English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

On one of the days, the faithful had the opportunity to learn of an important Marian Devotion, the brown Scapular. After this talk, those who wanted were able to receive the imposition of the Scapular.

Being the Sacraments the fountain of sanctifying grace, the Heralds of the Gospel make available as much as possible both the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Confession. In this Marian Mission, a priest of the Heralds would hear five hours of confession every day of the Mission.

The Apex of the Mission- Crowning of Our Lady

Throughout the Marian Mission, the faithful noticed something particular of the Statue. She was without her crown.

It was a weeklong invitation for the families to crown the Pilgrim Statue as a community.

With their participation in the Mission, the families received an abundance of grace which culminated in a special and symbolic ceremony, the crowning of the Pilgrim Statue.

The crowning of the Pilgrim Statue took place on Sunday at the end of three Holy Masses for the respective communities, English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

This pious ceremony of coronation, was a proclamation of gratitude to Our Blessed Mother and a request for her constant intercession so to continue obtaining graces for Our Lord to reign in the hearts of all.
