“Knights present who hear me, listen to the groans of Zion.” The expression is extremely illustrative: in every historic era, Zion – that is, the Holy Church – groans, waiting for heroes to defend her. And Msgr. João’s life consisted of answering that call.
Educator – “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ”
Msgr. Joaõ dedicated his life to forming the living stones with which Our Lady will build her Reign. Whatever field of human endeavour a Herald considers, there he will find his founder’s footprints, his word, his example and his blood.

“A star that constantly shines, without ever flickering”, “the wonder of wonders, the certainty of certainties, the realization of the Kingdom of God!” This is how Msgr. João saw the Mystical Body of Christ, of which he was a most faithful member.
