On Sunday, May 25, the Heralds of the Gospel aided the 37th Diocesan Hispanic Ministry Conference in the Diocese of Palm Beach. More than 850 participants gathered at Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, for a day of formation, communion, and mission.
This gathering focused on nurturing the Diocesan Hispanic ministry. On this occasion, it was linked to the Jubilee Year of Hope, whose theme was the central focus throughout the gathering.
Hispanic Ministry- Spiritual Renewal
With several workshops and activities, the encuentro had as a special guest a priest from the Heralds of the Gospel.
With an inspiring presentation, Fr. Joaquim Fernandes, of the Heralds of the Gospel, spoke about the Jubilee Year of Hope, which encourages us to live this time as an opportunity for spiritual renewal and evangelization.
Eucharistic Adoration and Holy Mass
There was also time for reflection and prayer, especially with Eucharistic Adoration, presided over by the priest of the Heralds.
The gathering concluded with a solemn celebration of the Eucharist, presided over by Bishop Gerald M. Barbarito and concelebrated by several priests from the diocese and the Heralds of the Gospel. Father Joaquim gave the homily during Holy Mass.
A growing community
At the end, Father Duván Bermúdez, Director of the Office of Hispanic Ministry, thanked everyone present for their active participation. Among the ministries, the Heralds of the Gospel help with various activities in the diocese to promote devotion to the Virgin Mary.
“Deeply grateful to the Lord for the gift of our faith, our community, and the path we continue to walk together as a Church.”
