With a diverse community consisting of English speakers, Portuguese and Brazilians, the Parish of St. Michael received for ten days the presence of the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In those ten days, the parishioners felt the embrace of Our Blessed Mother that united them all together in Her Immaculate Heart.
Mary visits Her children
The Marian Mission at St. Michael’s had a big focus of bringing a sense of community to the faithful. For this, the Heralds of the Gospel visited the home of the parishioners with the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima.
These visits were an opportunity for the families to spend time in prayer before Our Blessed Mother. Not only that, it was an incentive to participate in the Mission and invite others.
Hundreds of parishioners had the privilege to have Mary Most Holy in their homes.
Mary with the children at School
The Parish Priest also asked the Heralds of the Gospel to give the children of a nearby school an opportunity to meet Our Blessed Mother.
In this visit, the children crowned the Pilgrim Statue and heard stories illustrating the beauty of a true marian devotion.
Mary with the youth and at work
Also the young adults of the parish and a bakery received the visit of Our Lady!
Helping the elderly
As the mission went along, a request from a nursing home arose. One of the priests of the Heralds thus extended this Mission’s apostolate to the elderly. Assisting them with sacraments and the presence of Our Lady.
The Parish consecrated to the Immaculate Heart
Alongside the visits, daily Mass, Adoration and recitation of the Holy Rosary would take place at the Church. Even talks, meditating on various points of our Faith.
This all contributed for the Parish as a whole to unite under Our Lady’s intercession and do a Consecration to Her Immaculate Heart.
And May 13
Also, in conmemoration of Our Lady’s Apparitions at Fatima, a Holy Mass with a Procession took place at the Parish’s portuguese speaking community center.
