On March, 2025, the Heralds of the Gospel helped Rev. Luis Vargas at the Parish of St. Francis Assisi in Rochester, MN (1114 3rd Street Southeast, Rochester, MN 55904).
Spiritual Activities: Stations of the Cross, Eucharistic Adoration, and Rosary
For 5 days, the English and Spanish speaking community engaged in various devotions such as the Stations of the Cross, Eucharistic Exposition and Adoration, and recitation of the Holy Rosary.
Pilgrim Statue Visits: Bringing Marian Devotion to Homes and Schools
Some families also received the visit of the Pilgrim Statue in their homes, for a moment of intimacy and prayer with Our Blessed Mother. The children also had this beautiful experience when the Pilgrim Statue visited their school.
Enhancing the Liturgy with Gregorian Chant and Organ Music
The Heralds also helped with the liturgy throughout the mission, from celebrating the Holy Masses to embellishing the worship with Gregorian chant alongside with the organ.
Lenten Retreat and Marian Devotions: Deepening Spiritual Life
Additionally, the Heralds gave some talks explaining various marian devotions and their benefits to one’s spiritual life.
The missionaries also led a Parish wide Lenten retreat, both in English and Spanish.
Special Encounter with Bishop Robert Barron
Lastly, the missionaries had an unplanned but wonderful visit with Most Reverend Bishop Robert Barron at the Chancellery. Who received the Heralds warmly, showing interest in the mission and the Pilgrim Statue.
