A catholic’s life is a battle. In this life, added to the everyday toil of unending responsibilities, three enemies continually assail us: the flesh, world and devil.
Yet, seeking the refuge in Our Lord and using well the means that Holy Mother Church provides us, this spiritual warfare is one of victory. For this, the Heralds of the Gospel organized a retreat detailing and illustrating the strategies available for a catholic to conquer virtue and win the war.
Around 400 people participated in this retreat in the Parish Hall of Good Shepherd in Miami, Florida. It started at 8:00 am with the welcoming of the Pilgrim Statue of the Immaculate Heart. Then, the retreat began in a manner of conference talks, allowing an active participation and engagement.
The participants received a book containing the strategies and realities of this warfare. A book, written by the spiritual father of the Heralds of the Gospel, Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira, Revolution and Counter Revolution.
Holy Mass was also celebrated as part of the retreat. All ending around 4:00 pm.
